Your generous support is shaping the future of health and aged care for all Australians.

When you support Silverchain, you can connect more Australians to world-class care, revolutionary health care technology, and support services they can trust.

You can help create a care system that improves quality of life for people and drives a better standard of health and aged care for all Australians.

Your support can fund translational research projects and innovation to directly improve the care and services our clients receive.

Together we can empower more Australians to live safely at home for as long as they choose with the gift of dignity and choice.

Innovation in palliative care at home

Research is essential in discovering new and better care options for our clients. Most importantly, it’s about improving our clients’ health and care experience for generations to come.

Thanks to your generous donations, our dedicated Silverchain researchers can discover innovations to enhance our in-home palliative care services.

Trialling the best models of care enables more people to live well for longer in their place of choice - their home.

Supporting positive mental health in our clients

Your support has helped Silverchain researchers explore solutions to the growing mental health needs of our clients.

The first of its kind in Australia, the ‘enhanced management of home-based elders’ – or EMBED model – is an innovative and sustainable model of care that aims to facilitate early detection and use of evidence-based treatment of depression in older Australians who receive aged care in their home.

Your support helps Silverchain to invest in our clients’ wellbeing and use digital technology to provide better care.

New health technologies to improve client care

Thanks to your support, we have been able to trial new health technologies including smart glasses.

Smart glasses are an advanced telehealth tool that let nurses communicate hands free with our service base to receive specialist clinical advice in real time while they are with a client.

Your generous donations are helping Silverchain provide more comprehensive care, freeing up clinical specialists to be there for multiple clients in one day without the restriction of travel time and distance.

Delivering better care through clinical excellence

With your support, Silverchain's care teams can access specialised education and training opportunities to support high quality care and better outcomes for our clients and their loved ones.

By investing in scholarships, training and innovation, we can ensure our expertise is available to more Australians.

Your generous donations are helping Silverchain provide more comprehensive care, creating the ability to give clients better health care support regardless of where they live.

With your support, a trial service offering specialist care to people with dementia was converted into an ongoing service. The service gives greater dignity and independence to people living with dementia to live well for longer in their own homes.

Your support means full-time carers like Denise can take a much-needed break while their loved one is compassionately looked after at our respite cottages. Thank you for helping us give back to those who give so much as a personal carer.

"I don’t know if Mum knew she was at the end of her life, but she kept saying, ‘I love being here. I just love being at home,’ and that gave me a lot of comfort. I don’t know how I would have gotten through it without Silverchain.”

Just like John, one of our clients who took part in our recent smart glasses trial, we believe that technology is a powerful tool that can revolutionise our care delivery. Investing in new health technologies will help us deliver high quality, effective health care in the home to more people like John.
