We support many Resident Medical Officers (RMOs) to develop a variety of skills and knowledge within our Community Specialist Palliative Care Service in Western Australia (WA).

For over 40 years, Silverchain has provided palliative care for over 3,500 West Australians with life limiting illnesses each year across Perth. This 10 to 12 week training program is designed to help you gain knowledge and experience in delivering person-centred care to palliative care clients in the comfort of their home or community.

In doing so you will work and learn alongside our experienced multidisciplinary team of:

  • palliative medicine specialists
  • general practitioners (GPs)
  • nurses
  • social workers
  • spiritual care workers
  • support workers
  • allied health professionals
  • volunteers.

You can also complete weekly education sessions and be supported by your Practice Manager throughout your placement.
