We can help you understand the fees and charges that may apply for our government funded or self funded aged care services.
At Silverchain, we partner with state and federal governments and local health networks to provide a range of in home health and aged care services at no or low cost to you.
Most of our services are funded by the government. This means if you’re eligible the government pays for all or the majority of the services you receive from us. For services that are partly government funded, you will need to contribute to the cost of your services, if you can afford to do so.
Your contribution will vary based on the type of government funding you have, your financial situation, and the services you receive. We will explain the costs that apply to you, and help you understand your options if you cannot afford to pay. This includes who to contact to answer any questions or concerns.
Our fees allow us to ensure we provide the best care.
Aged care service fees
If you are eligible to receive government funded care, the government may still require to you to make a financial contribution towards the cost of your care. This fee is based on your care needs and financial situation.
Commonwealth Home Support Programme (CHSP)
We provide CHSP services in Western Australia (WA), South Australia (SA), and Victoria (VIC).

The government requires you to pay a financial contribution towards your care. How much you may need to pay is detailed in our CHSP Contribution Schedule You can also see our CHSP Co-contribution policy for more information on these fees.
The Australian Government subsidies your package and provides a fixed amount of annual funding based on your assessed level of care. There are four levels of care which are assessed by the Aged Care Assessment Team (ACAT).
See our HCP Price List for each state:

- SA Price List (as of 1 September 2024)
- VIC Price List (as of 1 August 2024)
Depending on your financial situation, you may be required to contribute to your care. We can explain in detail the contributions you may be required to make and the options available if you cannot afford to pay.
Certain fees, such as package and care management, apply to HCPs in addition to fees for your services - see more detail on our HCP fees and charges. These fees are covered by your package, so you don’t need to pay for them separately.
If you require complex services above what your funding provides, you can choose to pay privately for what you need. You may also be eligible for funded services under our health care program arrangements, depending on the state you live in.
