Managing nausea and vomiting in pregnancy
Our hyperemesis session was held on 8 November 2023 at the Hub in the Bentley Technology Park, Perth.

- Identify risk factors and secondary contributors to Hyperemesis Gravidarum, provide support through multimodal management plans, and identify patients suitable for home hospital management.
- Understanding nutritional considerations for Hyperemesis Gravidarum patients, including at risk populations and how to support them.

When chronic disease and mental illness coexist
Our chronic disease and care coordination session was held on 18 October 2023 at the Joondalup Resort in Perth.
Learning outcomes:
- Understanding key features of the Flinders model to identify suitable patients and suitability for a community supported program.
- Understanding why chronic disease patients are at risk of poor self-care from a neurobiology and psychiatry point of view and guiding principles to help them achieve their goals.
- Determining appropriate management plans and referral pathways for chronic disease patients seeking to withdraw from alcohol or other drugs.
