Keyton and Silverchain support independent ageing
Keyton and Silverchain, two of Australia’s most trusted names in retirement living and care services, today announced a collaboration to improve the care and wellbeing services available to residents to support them to remain independent and in control of their health as they age.
Combining Keyton's expertise in creating vibrant retirement living communities with Silverchain's long-standing leadership in delivering care and support in the home, this initiative makes it easier for Keyton residents to find and access wellbeing, care and support services.
This offers Keyton residents a more connected approach to help them access the services they need, when they need them, so they can continue to live confidently in the place they call home. This initiative will provide a program designed to support Keyton residents as their needs evolve over time, providing access to trusted information, guidance and services that promote independence, wellbeing and ageing in place.
Importantly, resident choice remains at the centre of the program. Keyton residents decide if, when and how they access support, and remain free to choose a provider that best meets their individual needs.
Keyton Chief Executive Officer Paul Martin said the collaboration reflects a shared commitment to helping older Australians live well for longer.
"People want the confidence to remain living independently in the communities they love, even as their needs evolve,” Mr Martin said.
“With Keyton's expertise in retirement living and Silverchain's experience in navigating the care system, we are creating a connected and supportive experience for residents.
“This collaboration will provide trusted wellbeing and support services when they need them, while preserving their independence, choice and control in accessing in home care.”
Silverchain Chief Executive Dale Fisher AM said Silverchain and Keyton want to make it easier for residents to find trusted advice and get support earlier, rather than having to navigate a complex care system on their own.
“Our ambition is to create a better home care system for all Australians. Collaborations like this help us realise that ambition by connecting more people with the care they need to remain healthy and independent at home,” Ms Fisher said.
“Keyton residents will have access to trusted information, care navigation and wellbeing activities from Silverchain, with the option to liaise directly with Silverchain to access services including personal care, nursing and allied health.
"We know the care system can be difficult to navigate, so Silverchain’s experts will be available to support Keyton residents to find and access services to help maintain their health and wellbeing.”
Information and care navigation services are available immediately to Keyton residents through Silverchain, ahead of a formal launch of the collaborative care and wellbeing program in the new year.
