This ANZAC Day, Silverchain Group acknowledges and recognises the men and women of the Australian and New Zealand Army Corps.

Silverchain client, Norma Maguire was a Staff Sergeant in the Signals Branch in Darwin during World War 2 and will commemorate the occasion from her Dawesville home, in Western Australia.

As a Staff Sergeant, Norma held a senior role during the war, where she worked tirelessly on logistics and human and resource management.

The 99-year-old will be among the many other amazing Australians, who this year, will not be involved in Anzac Day activities due to the COVID-19 pandemic.

While COVID-19 has seen the cancellation of services, nothing will take away the importance of what ANZAC Day means to me

"The ANZAC spirit helps us honour and show respect for our service personnel past and present,” Norma said.

For our clients, and families at home, the Australian War Memorial Anzac Day service is scheduled to proceed and will be broadcast on the ABC from 3.30am AWST.
