With the spike of Coronavirus (COVID-19) cases across Victoria, staff from our Western Healthlinks team are voluntarily assisting in Victoria’s coronavirus testing blitz, and screening clients for potential exposure to coronavirus.

Two of our dedicated nurses Joanna Georgiou and Chantelle Crespan are assisting the Department of Health and Human Services (DHHS) and swab testing people in Melbourne’s hotspots.

The hard-working nurses are aiding the state’s Coronavirus testing blitz and our Director of Clinical Operations, Jennifer Collins, said they are honoured to help the Victorian community.

People usually go overseas to experience this crisis type of work. This is a very rewarding job for our nurses. They are amazing

Two other staff from our Western Healthlinks team have also started on a special project with the DHHS.

Xam Tchen and Swasitika Bhattarai-Ghimire are telephoning 1,200 Western HealthLinks clients in four weeks to screen them for potential exposure to Coronavirus.

The Customer Service Administrator and Enrolled Nurse have already made 360 calls, and the feedback is that clients are so thankful to receive a call checking they’re okay.

As an innovative provider of the highest quality of care, we draw on our community spirit, our values, our expertise and our amazing staff, to continue to rise to the challenges presented by Coronavirus (COVID-19).
