Our professional nursing training team provides training and competency-based assessment for community and disability support workers. Our training enables you to meet the health support needs of people with a disability living in the community.
This training is currently only delivered in South Australia, though a range of other training options are available across Australia.

What does the course cover?
- Basic Health Support Training, which is not client-specific.
Basic Health Support Training includes:
- Assistance with medication
- Assistance with medication refresher
- Basic continence support
- Infection control
- Epilepsy awareness
- Emergency medications for seizures
- Asthma awareness
- Dysphagia and choking
- Diabetes awareness.
How is the course delivered?
We offer face-to-face classroom-based or online training options.
