Bringing acute care into the home: A GPs guide to short term parenteral antibiotics

Our Hospital at the Home team will cover the practical use of short term parenteral antibiotics for common presentations in General Practice, focusing on soft tissue infections.

Silverchain Acute Care WA Medical Directors, Dr Ligia Hernest and Dr Natalie Johnston will also discuss how this approach can help you manage patients effectively in the community, reduce unnecessary hospital admissions, and ease the burden on emergency departments.

This free session is designed for doctors, practice nurses and managers. It will provide you with 1.5 CPD hours and includes a buffet dinner and refreshments.

Wednesday 11th March 2025 from 6:30pm to 8:30pm (doors open at 6:15pm) at The Hub, Bentley Technology Park.

Spaces are limited so register today to secure your spot.

  • Recognise early or atypical presentations of sepsis, including subtle physiological changes.
